Consider these Benefits of a Workout
at Home...
I have
been training my clients in their
homes since 1998 and have discovered
many creative ways to design home-based
exercise programs-with or without
elaborate equipment. I find my
clients are more consistent with
in-home workouts, because it's
easier for them to integrate fitness
into their daily lives-a real
benefit for busy parents and executives
on the go.
In
addition, a home environment is
ideal for functional training,
which is simply described as exercise
that trains the body for the activities
performed in everyday life. Last
but not least, I have found that
working in my clients' homes is
often a great way to get other
family members involved in fitness.
What
About Equipment?
If you
have exercise equipment at home,
that's great, but not necessary.
I come equipped with free weights,
elastic tubing, stability and
medicine balls, just to mention
a few of the latest portable tools,
which can transform a room in
your home into a fully functional
"gym." And, you'd be
amazed at how many exercises require
but two components: Your body
weight and gravity!
I
do encourage my clients to think
about eventually acquiring their
own equipment, so they can do
their "homework" in
between our sessions. I'm happy
to advise them as to the best
products for their needs and will
also take charge of purchasing
them for my clients.

Word About Space
Nearly
any space in the house or office
can be temporarily converted into
a fitness room. And here in Marin
County, Mother Nature offers a
spectacular setting for activities
of all kinds in the great outdoors.
